Welcome to my private downtown cello studio! With over 15 years of experience in performing and teaching, I customize my approach to bring out the potential in each student. Lessons are offered both in-person or virtually to students of all levels.
Lessons
I offer hour long lessons in cello and/or music theory to beginners & advanced students alike. Whether you're starting out or on your way to auditioning for music school, lessons are tailored to achieve your goals.
Additionally, I welcome adult students. I love working with you to grow and enjoy music through cello at a pace that respects your busy schedule.
I encourage my students to audio record their lessons for reference in personal practice during the week. For a small fee, I offer video recordings of lessons and a private link with the video for parents to review. Please note that for students who wish to retain audio and video recordings, the use of, reproduction, posting, sharing, or any use beyond personal private use is not permitted.
My Studio
My private cello studio is located in downtown Toronto in the Entertainment district by King Street West & Spadina Ave.
Cello Supplies
I encourage my students to visit, The Sound Post, in downtown Toronto, for most cello-related needs and repairs. Strings, rosin, books, bow re-hairs and other maintenance is available there. I am more than happy to assist with any string changes or replacements, bridge adjustments and tuning that doesn't require a visit to a shop.
For those seeking to purchase or rent a cello, I am available for a fee to help try out instruments to make sure we find the best fit for you.
I will help you find the best place to source sheet music, and advise which editions make the most sense for you depending on the repertoire choices.
Rates & Payment
Please contact me about lesson rates. A typical lesson is 1 hour in length.
Payment may be made with cash or e-transfer. I am also open to monthly installments based on your needs and preferences.
Cancellation Policy:
Students who cancel less than 24 hours before their scheduled lesson will not receive a refund or make-up lesson unless for medical or family situation.
